Prescription HUB (POD) early closing times

Please note, the Prescription Hub (POD) which you will routinely order your repeat medication from will be closed during the following times.

Wednesday 11th December: The hub will close at 12:00pm due to a team event taking place in the afternoon. A telephone message will be on the hub line to make patients aware, practices are advised to take prescription requests via reception during this time.

Christmas Period: The hub will close at 12:00pm on Tuesday 24th December (Christmas Eve). It will re-open at 8:00am on Friday 27th December.

New Year: The hub will be closed on Wednesday 1st January 2025 (New Year’s Day). Normal hours will resume on Thursday 2nd January 2025.

Repeat Prescriptions

The Practice operates a Prescription Ordering Direct (POD) service in conjunction with Birmingham Smart Care Primary Care Network, a new and convenient way to order your repeat prescriptions.

All requests should be called through the practice telephone number on 0121 430 2829 and then choose option 1. You will be put through to the POD. Please ensure the POD are aware of your nominated pharmacy.

You can also still order your repeat medication through the online applications.

The surgery cannot accept written, emailed requests or verbal requests phoned through to the receptionist.

It will take 2 working days for your prescription to be processed.

All repeat prescriptions are now to be requested from our Prescription Ordering Department (POD) by calling 0121 430 2829 and following the directions to order a repeat prescription.
