On Wednesday & Thursday afternoon the practice is open but during this time, any telephone calls to the practice will be answered by South Doc Services Limited. South Doc also answer any calls between 08:00 – 08:30 weekdays, 12:30 – 13:30 weekdays.

From the 1st October 2024, the practice telephone lines will be open from 08:00 and patients will no longer be asked to call for an appointment at 08:30 and 13:30. All appointments will be offered from 08:00 weekdays.

At other times when the practice is closed Badger Medical Services Limited are the Out of Hours services provider for the Practice.

Extended Hours

The practice is part of Birmingham Smartcare Federation, who will be providing extended hours appointments in the evenings and at weekends.

Appointments may be booked for a GP, a nurse or a healthcare assistant for the following days, which include Bank holidays:-

  • Monday to Friday: 18.30 - 20.00
  • Saturday: 09.00 - 18.00
  • Sunday: 10.00 - 13.00

The appointments are held at the Greet Primary Care Centre, 50 Percy Road, B11 3ND

Please note that patients will be seen by appointment only, this is not a walk in service.

When We Are Closed

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call NHS 111 to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

111 online is a fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally. 

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:

  • Treat yourself at home
  • Go to a Primary Care Centre

If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.

Urgent Treatment Centres (UTC)

Urgent Treatment Centres can now only be accessed via an appointment system, booked by NHS111. Patients can no longer access a ‘walk-in’ service, without an appointment.
